Introducing the start of something special - Westwell Village. Officially released on July 1st, this is a range of simple, delicious easy drinking wines which are keenly priced.
Both have been made using a blend of wild and commercial yeasts; giving depth and complexity whilst retaining purity and freshness.
First up is Ortega Pink. A blend of Ortega from our winery block and Pinot Noir from our younger vines, this was made by pressing and settling the juice at cool temperatures before fermentation in stainless steel tanks with added yeast.
A bright, crisp Ortega full of ripe peach skin has been given a new direction with the addition of vibrant Pinot Noir. With flavours of redcurrant and red apple, it's a perfect summer pink.
We've also made a Chardonnay! Picked in October 2023, the grapes are a blend from two blocks; clone 121 from our younger 2019 vines and the other clone 95 planted back in 2009.
The result is a bright, crisp Chardonnay full of ripe citrus vibrancy with a touch of stone fruit. Easy to drink with just about anything.
